The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting announced that mountainous areas of the Northeast region will experience cold weather starting tonight. Temperatures across the entire northern region are forecast to range from 15-18 degrees Celsius, with some mountainous areas seeing temperatures below 14 degrees Celsius.

Accuweather, a US-based weather website, forecasts Hanoi's lowest temperatures to be 17-22 degrees Celsius by mid-next week, rising to 19-27 degrees Celsius by the weekend. High-altitude areas above 1,500 m, such as Sa Pa in Lao Cai province, will see lows of 10-14 degrees Celsius.
In Central Vietnam, provinces like Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will feel the impact of the cold air mass starting tomorrow. Minimum temperatures there are expected to be 15-18 degrees Celsius, with some mountainous areas dropping below 14 degrees Celsius.
The cold air mass will also bring northeast winds of level 2-3, with coastal areas experiencing level 3-4 winds. From tonight until the end of tomorrow, the Northern and North Central regions will see scattered showers and localized thunderstorms.
Furthermore, starting tonight, the Gulf of Tonkin will experience strong winds of level 6, with gusts of level 7-8, and sea waves reaching 1,5-2,5 m. The Northern East Sea (including the Hoang Sa archipelago) will have level 6 winds, with the northeastern sea area specifically seeing level 7 winds, gusting to level 8-9, and waves 2-4 m high. From tomorrow night, the sea area from southern Quang Tri to Quang Ngai will have level 6 winds, gusting to level 7-8, and waves 1-2 m high.
