At a conference on 17/9, Hoang Dang Quang, deputy head of the central organizing committee, announced the politburo and secretariat's decisions regarding personnel matters.
Nguyen Hoai Anh, alternate member of the central party committee and permanent deputy secretary of Lam Dong provincial party committee, has been appointed to the Thanh Hoa provincial party committee and its standing committee as deputy secretary for the 2020-2025 term. He has also been nominated to the provincial people's council for election as chairman of the Thanh Hoa provincial people's committee for the 2021-2026 term.

48-year-old Nguyen Hoai Anh, originally from Quang Nam, holds a bachelor's degree in English literature and architecture, and a master's degree in public administration. He has served as deputy secretary and then secretary of Binh Thuan provincial youth union, secretary of Tuy Phong district party committee, deputy head of the provincial internal affairs committee, and head of the Binh Thuan provincial party committee's mass mobilization commission.
In 7/2019, he was elected permanent vice chairman of the Binh Thuan provincial people's council. Over a year later, he became permanent deputy secretary of the provincial party committee and chairman of the provincial people's council. In 3/2024, he was elected secretary of the Binh Thuan provincial party committee. From 7/2025 to present, he has served as permanent deputy secretary of Lam Dong provincial party committee.
Major General Nguyen Hong Phong appointed permanent deputy secretary of Thanh Hoa provincial party committee
The politburo also appointed Major General Nguyen Hong Phong, director of the ministry of public security's domestic security department, to the Thanh Hoa provincial party committee and its standing committee as permanent deputy secretary for the 2020-2025 term.

The standing board of Thanh Hoa provincial party committee now comprises secretary Nguyen Doan Anh and deputy secretaries Trinh Tuan Sinh and Nguyen Hoai Anh.
Vice chairman Mai Xuan Liem is currently in charge of the provincial people's committee following the absence of chairman Do Minh Tuan.
