After 3.5 years of construction, the eighth bridge spanning the Perfume River is complete. The Hue City People's Council has officially named it Nguyen Hoang Bridge to commemorate the lord who spearheaded the southward expansion and laid the foundation for the Nguyen dynasty.
Construction began in 12/2022 as part of a larger project encompassing the bridge and the expansion of Nguyen Hoang Street, with a total investment of over 2,280 billion VND. The first phase, funded by both national and local budgets (800 billion VND from the national budget), had a planned timeline of 4 years but was completed ahead of schedule.

Following the opening ceremony, the contractor installed railings and paved the paths connecting to the parks on both banks of the Perfume River. |
