Nguyen Hue flower street Tet 2026 to expand to adjacent streets

Nguyen Hue flower street Tet this year will span eight days, for the first time featuring food zones, brand promotion, and festive activities on nearby streets.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (HCMC PC) recently announced plans for Nguyen Hue Flower Street Tet Binh Ngo 2026. The event, themed "Spring Convergence - Steadfastly Reaching Out", will open at 7 p.m. on 15/2 and conclude at 9 p.m. on 22/2/2026 (from the 28th of the 12th lunar month of the At Ty year until the end of the 6th day of Tet Binh Ngo). The main landscape displays on the flower street will remain for one additional month afterward.

This marks the 23rd year the flower street has been held in downtown HCMC, establishing itself as a distinctive cultural highlight. Beyond its traditional decorative focus, this year's Nguyen Hue Flower Street will introduce new areas for food service, image and brand promotion, and various festival and interactive activities. These will be located along both sides of Nguyen Hue street, a section of its roadway, and the sidewalk at the corner of Le Loi - Nguyen Hue (the former Tax Department Store area).

Art performances, entertainment, and food services are planned for the sidewalks in front of hotels and restaurants within the Saigontourist Group system located along Nguyen Hue street and in the vicinity of the city center. These include: Oscar, Palace, Kim Do, Caravelle, Sheraton, Grand, Rex, Majestic, and Saigontourist Group Travel. Additional artistic activities will run throughout the Tet flower street period this year.

Additionally, the organizing committee will install 6-10 LED screens in the flower street area, at locations such as the Le Loi - Nguyen Hue intersection, the corner of the Union Square building, and the former Tax Department Store corner. This system will showcase images of the flower street from previous years, combined with promoting Tet festivals in HCMC as well as the images and brands of partners accompanying the flower street this Tet.

Along with Nguyen Hue street, this Tet, HCMC also plans to organize other flower street events in the former Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau areas. These locations will have their own implementation plans.

Last Lunar New Year, HCMC organized Nguyen Hue Flower Street with the theme "Non Song Gam Hoa, Vui Xuan Thai Hoa" (Land of Brocade, Joyful and Peaceful Spring). Over its eight days of operation, the flower street attracted more than 1.2 million visitors. Millions of images related to the flower street were also shared across media outlets and social networks.
