During the national day holiday on 2/9, passenger traffic through Noi Bai airport is expected to increase significantly over the five days from 29/8 to 2/9. On 30/8, the airport anticipates nearly 110,000 passengers, including 66,000 domestic and 44,000 international passengers, the highest number ever recorded. According to Noi Bai International Airport, the increase is due to many international delegations arriving for the grand celebration and the opening of new international routes.
To meet this demand, the airport and airlines are maintaining 24/7 operations at the Airport Operations Control Center (AOCC) and have deployed additional staff to handle any potential issues. Some overnight aircraft have been relocated to nearby airports to make room for international flights.
