Around 3:20 PM on 20/8, a Duc Loc bus with license plate number 18 and a contract bus with license plate number 29 were traveling in opposite directions on Highway 32. As the bus with license plate number 29 entered a curve in Cat Thinh commune, it skidded, causing its rear end to swing into the opposite lane, colliding with the oncoming Duc Loc bus.

The force of the impact sent the Duc Loc bus onto the sidewalk, significantly damaging its front end and blocking the road with its rear. The Hanoi-licensed bus had two rear windows shattered, resulting in the immediate death of a male passenger seated in the back.

Debris from the accident was scattered across the road within a 15-meter radius. At the time of the accident, heavy rain had made the road surface slippery.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
