On 23/8, at the Viet Xo Friendship Labour Cultural Palace, Hanoi police held a ceremony to welcome 655 officers deployed by the Traffic Police Department (Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security) to support the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (A80) celebrations.
According to the Traffic Police Department, the deployed officers are elite police with experience in escorting delegations, traffic control, and command. Nearly 100 specialized vehicles, including Toyota Camry cars and Honda Gold Wing motorcycles, accompanied the officers. These vehicles have undergone maintenance and technical inspections to ensure they are ready for duty.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Colonel Pham Quang Huy, Deputy Director of the Traffic Police Department, said the upcoming celebrations demand a high level of traffic safety and order. Therefore, traffic police must demonstrate a high sense of responsibility, utilize their experience and professional skills, and strictly comply with regulations and work processes to contribute to a positive image of the traffic police.
For this event, Hanoi police have mobilized over 10,000 officers for direct duty, along with over 5,000 local forces. In addition, approximately 8,800 outstanding young volunteers will support the National Day celebrations.
On 2/9, Vietnam will hold a ceremony, parade, and march to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi. The parade will include a full range of forces, with contingents marching, motorized units, air and naval forces. The parade will involve around 16,000 people, including 43 marching contingents, 18 stationary contingents, and 14 contingents of military and special police vehicles.
