Plastic manufacturing company engulfed in flames

A plastic manufacturing company located in Binh Xuyen Industrial Park raged from 9:30 PM until midnight on 26/5, remaining uncontained.

Around 9:30 PM on 26/5, a fire broke out at SYC Green World Plastic Manufacturing Company, located at Lot N, Binh Xuyen Industrial Park, Binh Nguyen commune, Phu Tho province.

The fire rapidly intensified, fueled by plastic pellets and products inside. This created a smoke plume tens of meters high, emitting a burnt odor.

Witnesses reported several explosions accompanying the blaze, and some workers inside managed to escape.

Plastic pellets stored inside and around the company premises caused the fire to spread quickly. Heat from the blaze was felt hundreds of meters away.

Phu Tho Provincial Fire Police mobilized numerous fire trucks, excavators, and personnel to the scene.

Firefighters are primarily using water to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent workshops. By 11:45 PM, the fire was still raging, and workers were focusing on moving numerous plastic sacks outside.

SYC Green World Co., Ltd. is a 100% South Korean-invested company specializing in waste recycling and manufacturing plastic products.

The company's facilities and workshops, covering thousands of square meters and constructed with steel frames and corrugated iron roofs, saw a portion collapse.
