At approximately 19h, a medium-voltage power line, strung between two poles over the expressway in Hiep Thanh commune, about 2 km from the base of Prenn Pass, suddenly sagged onto the road. A truck became entangled in the line, but no injuries or vehicle damage were reported.

Nguyen Dinh Truong, deputy director of Hung Phat Co., Ltd., which operates the Lien Khuong - Prenn expressway, stated that the affected power line was undergoing replacement by the power company and was not yet energized. Although no serious accidents happened, the incident halted vehicle traffic on that section of the road.
Despite moderate traffic volume at the time, congestion quickly built up, stretching for over one km in each direction. The Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police quickly deployed officers to cordon off both ends of the affected section, reroute vehicles, and collaborate with relevant agencies to expedite repairs.

By just after 20h that evening, the power line was cleared, and the Lien Khuong - Prenn expressway reopened, with traffic gradually returning to normal.
The Lien Khuong - Prenn expressway, spanning 19 km, connects National Highway 20 from Duc Trong district to the base of Prenn Pass, serving as a key gateway to Da Lat. This four-lane road, with operating speeds between 60-90 km/h, is a crucial transportation artery linking TP HCM and the South Central provinces to Da Lat.
