The Lam Dong Department of Construction announced the closure of nearly 5 km of National Highway 20 through Prenn Pass. This diversion facilitates repairs for a landslide that occurred late last year. During this time, traffic to and from Da Lat will use Mimosa Pass or the Sacom - Tuyen Lam Pass route.

Prenn Pass, 7,27 km long, is a key route connecting National Highway 20 from southeastern provinces to Da Lat. On 4/11 afternoon, hundreds of cubic meters of soil and rocks slid from the upslope, bringing down pine trees that blocked the road. This happened despite clear weather in Da Lat.
Just over two weeks before, the pass experienced another incident. A large section of the road surface collapsed into a ravine, taking the retaining wall and guardrail, creating a deep cavity. The asphalt layer tore, and meters of road cracked and subsided.
Investment and Construction Project Management Board No. 1 coordinates with authorities. They will deploy security personnel, install barriers and signs, and organize traffic diversions.
Traffic police (CSGT) and Xuan Huong ward officials will intensify patrols. These patrols ensure traffic safety during the construction period.
