Around 8 PM, heavy rain inundated the central area of Bien Hoa city, causing significant flooding on many roads. Traffic was virtually paralyzed, with vehicles unable to move.
On National Highway 1 near Thanh Tam Hospital and the Phat Trien intersection in Long Binh and Ho Nai wards, water from alleyways flowed onto the highway, causing flooding from half a meter to nearly one meter deep. The strong currents stalled and swept away many vehicles on Hoang Van Bon street into the San Mau stream.
"The rain was torrential, and several motorcyclists who tried to cross were swept away by the current. Residents on both sides of the street rushed out to help and rescued them in time," Hiep, a driver passing by, said.
The downpour also caused severe flooding in some residential areas of Trang Dai and Long Binh wards. Water flowed into houses, reaching depths of over half a meter and damaging many belongings. The Dong Khoi intersection also experienced high water levels, affecting numerous households.
