Nguyen Phuc Nhan, Deputy Head of the Quang Ngai Province Traffic Safety Board, stated that after reviewing the video of the incident, the board recognized the courageous actions of Oanh and his team, deeming their bravery worthy of commendation and emulation.
Shortly after midnight on 21/9, the SE6 train, traveling from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, approached the Tho Loc crossing, the intersection of Highway 24B—one of Quang Ngai province's busiest roads—and the North-South railway.
Oanh and Hoang had already closed the crossing gates in anticipation of the train. Suddenly, a 34-year-old man (formerly from Tinh Ha commune), appearing intoxicated, crashed his motorbike into the barrier and fell onto the tracks.

After unsuccessful attempts to signal the man, Oanh rushed forward and pulled him from the tracks as the train approached, approximately 50 meters away. Oanh and his colleagues then took the man, who sustained minor head injuries, to the hospital. He is now in stable condition.
