Vo Tien Trung, chairman of the Luong Son Commune People's Committee (CPC), reported that the sand covered a stretch of over 40 meters, reaching a depth of almost half a meter. The entire road was blocked, preventing vehicles from passing.
Authorities mobilized police, military personnel, and machinery from Binh Thuan National Highway 1A BOT Co., Ltd. to the scene for cleanup. Traffic police managed traffic on both sides, allowing vehicles to pass alternately.
By 6:30 PM, the road was temporarily reopened after a significant amount of sand was cleared. Cleanup efforts are still underway.
