On the morning of 23/9, a representative from the Dam Rong 2 Commune People's Committee (UBND) reported a fire that occurred in the early morning of 22/9 at sub-area 181, Lieng Hung village. The blaze destroyed a house approximately 50 square meters in size, claiming the lives of Vu Thi Sung, 32, her 2-year-old daughter, and her 4-month-old son. The three had resided on the coffee farm for a long time.

The house was located deep within the forest, about 30 kilometers from the commune center. Difficult roads and a lack of phone signal hampered communication and the deployment of rescue forces.

Lam Dong Provincial Police are investigating the cause of the fire. Dam Rong 2 commune has provided 20 million VND to the victims' family for funeral arrangements.
