Flames quickly engulfed the front of the bus, creating a smoke column tens of meters high. The sight caused panic among numerous tourists and residents, who promptly alerted authorities. In response, the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police swiftly dispatched two vehicles and 14 officers to the scene to extinguish the blaze.
Hoang, a witness sitting at a ground-floor cafe of the hotel, recounted hearing a loud explosion before seeing thick smoke. He noted that the fire's location at the back of the hotel was fortunate, preventing smoke from entering the building.
"Many residents nearby panicked when they saw the thick smoke, but the fire was put out in just a few minutes," Hoang stated.
