On the morning of 28/8, air force squadrons took off from Hoa Lac Airport (Hanoi) and Kep Airport (Bac Ninh), heading towards Ba Dinh Square for a celebratory flyover. 27 aircraft, including Mi helicopters, Su-30MK2s, Yak-130s, and L-39NGs, participated in the event.

The fighter squadron made two passes over Ba Dinh Square. The first pass was a straight flyover, while the second showcased complex maneuvers, requiring precise coordination among the pilots.
This event marked the first time five Su-30MK2s performed together. In previous events, such as the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South (A50) and other defense exhibitions in Hanoi, only four Su-30MK2s flew in formation.
