Around 11:30 on 8/1, three teenagers from Quang Trach commune, riding together on a single motorcycle, were traveling on national highway 1 in the north-south direction. Upon reaching Tu Loan hamlet, their motorcycle collided with a passenger bus that was making a U-turn in the same direction.

The impact threw all three individuals onto the road. One victim was trapped under the motorcycle, while the other two landed near the roadside and were assisted by residents for emergency medical care.

Two of the victims were transported to North Quang Tri Regional General Hospital. The most severely injured person was taken to Cuba - Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital. All three sustained multiple injuries, with one teenager in critical condition.

At the scene, the motorcycle's front was damaged, and debris was scattered across the road. The passenger bus sustained damage to its front left side. The section of the road where the accident occurred has a median strip, with each direction comprising two car lanes and one lane for non-motorized vehicles. The weather was dry at the time of the accident. Notably, no helmets belonging to the motorcycle riders were found at the scene.

Quang Tri provincial traffic police are coordinating with Quang Trach commune police to direct traffic and investigate the cause of the accident.
