On the afternoon of 3/9, Politburo member and Standing Board of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu sent a letter of thanks to all forces involved in the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on 2/9.
In his letter, Tu highlighted the success of the celebrations, particularly the ceremony, parade, and march at Ba Dinh Square, calling it a "great festival of the entire nation." The event affirmed the enduring value and vitality of the August Revolution and National Day, inspiring patriotism, pride, and national unity, while also motivating the pursuit of a peaceful and prosperous Vietnam.

The Central Steering Committee expressed gratitude to current and former leaders of the Party and State; veterans, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the armed forces, and labor heroes; generals, officers, soldiers, veterans, police, youth volunteers, and militia; families of martyrs, wounded soldiers, and people with meritorious services; compatriots at home and abroad; leaders and people of friendly countries and international organizations; along with ministries, branches, localities, experts, artists, journalists, businesses, and the people of Hanoi.
"These contributions have helped spread a profound message of the desire for independence, freedom, peace, and friendship to international friends, while bringing great emotion and pride to compatriots, officials, and soldiers across the country," Tu wrote.
He affirmed that all victories of the Vietnamese Revolution originate from the people, are carried out by the people, and are for the people; and expressed confidence that the spirit of the August Revolution and National Day will continue to be a driving force for the nation in the new era of development.
Minister of Public Security commends security forces.
General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, sent a letter commending police units and localities for deploying forces, equipment, and measures to ensure absolute security and safety for the 80th anniversary celebrations, especially the ceremony at Ba Dinh Square.
According to the minister, police nationwide closely followed the plans and directives of the Party Committee of the Central Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security. They promptly detected and addressed sabotage plots, fought against crime, and effectively implemented measures to ensure traffic safety, fire prevention, and management of weapons and explosives. The security plans were both tight and facilitated people's participation in the national festival.

The minister also acknowledged and praised the police officers and soldiers who directly participated in the parade, recognizing their important contribution to the event's success. He highly valued their sense of responsibility, discipline, professionalism, and close ties with the people, while also thanking the cooperation of ministries, branches, organizations, and the support of the people nationwide.
General Luong Tam Quang urged the entire force to continue upholding the 80-year tradition, achieve more outstanding feats and accomplishments, and successfully fulfill the tasks entrusted by the Party, State, and People.
Minister of National Defense thanks the press.
On the same day, General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense, sent a letter of thanks to press agencies inside and outside the military. He acknowledged the close cooperation and tireless work of reporters, editors, and technicians who "braved the sun and rain" alongside tens of thousands of soldiers on training grounds, rehearsal sessions, and the official ceremony.
"These contributions have helped spread the noble image of the heroic Vietnam People's Army, the strength of national defense, and the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era to the people and international friends," he wrote.
