Upon discovering the incident, a task force of 6 officers from the Dien Chau Traffic Police Station, part of the Traffic Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police), who were on duty nearby, promptly arrived at the scene. The officers moved a car away from the burning area and then used large wooden planks to forcefully break open the iron doors of both houses, creating an escape route. Simultaneously, they shouted to alert and guide the people inside to safety.
Within approximately 3 minutes, the iron doors were breached, allowing all 11 occupants to escape safely just before the fire rapidly spread and engulfed the entire interior.
Hoang Mai Ward Police, in coordination with the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police, deployed water hoses to suppress the blaze. The fire was brought under control after half an hour, though many items within the motorbike repair shop were destroyed. Authorities are continuing to examine the scene, investigate the cause, and assess the extent of the damage.
