Anh Ngoc, a second-year student at Hanoi Open University, volunteered for the 80th National Day celebrations. Ngoc took a photo with soldier Nguyen Anh Sang.

The troops gathered in the north in early June and underwent nearly 100 days of rigorous training. The northern summer heat was a challenge, but everyone persevered, knowing that "marching in Ba Dinh square is an unforgettable honor in a soldier's career."
