The impact forced all three vehicles into the median and shoulder, causing significant damage. The truck continued for about 100 meters before hitting a 7-seater vehicle stopped at a red light.
This collision pushed the 7-seater forward, causing a chain reaction involving a pickup truck and another car stopped in front of it. A car traveling alongside was also slightly damaged in the second collision.
Nguyen Thanh De, 65, a passenger in the 7-seater, said he and the driver were on their way to Tam Phuoc ward for work. They were stopped at a red light when the truck hit them from behind.
"I heard a crash, then lost consciousness for a moment. When I opened my eyes, I saw 4 damaged vehicles. Fortunately, no one was injured," De recounted.
