Late on 16/9, Do Ngoc Phuoc (28), Do Phi Toan (33), and Le Van Hung (33), all residents of Phuoc Tho hamlet, went bird hunting.

Shortly after, Phuoc discovered Toan and Hung lying motionless in a paddy in Hamlet 4 and alerted the authorities. At the scene, investigators found an electric wire used for a rat trap strung around the rice field.

Gia Lai provincial police are investigating the incident.
