Two men electrocuted to death while relocating drilling rig

Two men were electrocuted to death on the spot at midday on 16/3 in Hoa Binh commune, Ca Mau province, when a drilling rig they were relocating for a residential fence project touched a power line.

At approximately 12:40 p.m., Mr. Chau Tuan, 42, and Mr. Danh Sa Phol, 41, both residents of Chua Phat hamlet, Hoa Binh commune, were working on a project to drive piles for a fence at a household in Phuoc Thanh 1 hamlet.

During the relocation of the approximately 4-meter-high drilling rig used for construction, the equipment unexpectedly snagged a nearby residential power line, causing the fatal electrocution.
