On the afternoon of 19/8, a traffic police patrol from Da Nang City's Traffic Police Department noticed a suspicious Da Nang-registered car traveling on Nguyen Tri Phuong Street in Thanh Khe Ward.

The driver ignored the signal to stop and accelerated, leading police on a 1-kilometer pursuit. Officers eventually stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Le Duan and Dien Bien Phu streets, also in Thanh Khe Ward, and brought the two occupants to the station.

Police identified the driver as a 26-year-old resident of Thanh Khe Ward, and his passenger as a 24-year-old. Drug paraphernalia was found inside the car. Both men tested positive for narcotics.

Police cited the driver for driving under the influence of drugs, impounded the vehicle, and transferred the case to the Thanh Khe Ward Police Department for further action.
