The Cam Trung Commune Police posted information on social media. Three hours later, Vo Thi Ly, 55 years old, residing in Quyet Thang hamlet, contacted them, identifying herself as the owner. She stated that she had inadvertently dropped the bag while riding her motorbike home on the national highway, completely unaware of the loss.
After verifying the matching information, the commune police invited Ms. Thai and Ms. Suu to witness the return of the property to its owner that same afternoon. According to the police, the gold weighed two chi, equivalent to 3,75 grams, and was valued at over 30 million VND.
The two women shared that with Tet (Lunar New Year) approaching, everyone saves money for shopping, and losing a significant asset would undoubtedly cause great worry. Therefore, they wanted to find a way to return it as quickly as possible.
