Van Thi Bach Tuyet appointed deputy secretary of Ho Chi Minh City party committee

Van Thi Bach Tuyet, head of the Ho Chi Minh City party committee's organization department, has been appointed deputy secretary of the city's party committee.

The politburo's personnel decision was announced to Ms. Tuyet at the 4th (expanded) conference of the Ho Chi Minh City party committee on 15/9.

Ms. Tuyet, 49, a Ho Chi Minh City native, holds a master's degree in political economics, a bachelor's degree in biological sciences, and a bachelor's degree in public administration. Her previous roles include chairwoman of the Hoc Mon district people's committee, director of the department of tourism, full-time deputy of the 14th Ho Chi Minh City national assembly delegation, and head of the Ho Chi Minh City party committee's organization department.

Since September 2016, she has been a member of the city party committee and a full-time deputy of the 14th Ho Chi Minh City national assembly delegation.

The standing committee of the Ho Chi Minh City party committee now consists of six members: Secretary Tran Luu Quang; and deputy secretaries Nguyen Van Duoc, Vo Van Minh, Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Dang Minh Thong, and Van Thi Bach Tuyet.
