Vietnam Vibes contest closes at noon on 5/9

The Vietnam Vibes by Vietravel photo and video contest will close submissions and voting at noon on 5/9, concluding its month-long journey of celebrating the National Day (2/9).

The organizers hope to receive more meaningful submissions in the final stage, showcasing national pride, the vibrant atmosphere, and the beauty of Vietnam and its people during the 80th National Day celebrations.

Submissions received close to the deadline will be judged fairly, like earlier entries. The contest offers 8 prizes, equally divided between photo and video categories. The top three prizes in each category will be determined by a judging panel, regardless of the number of votes.

The prize structure for each category is as follows:

First Prize: 10 million VND and a Vietravel travel voucher worth 10 million VND.

Second Prize: 5 million VND and a Vietravel travel voucher worth 10 million VND.

Third Prize: 2 million VND and a Vietravel travel voucher worth 5 million VND.

Consolation Prize: A Vietravel travel voucher worth 5 million VND for the entry with the most shares or likes.

Submit your photos and videos before noon on 5/9 here.

After over a month, Vietnam Vibes has received hundreds of entries from across Vietnam, overseas Vietnamese communities, and international friends. The content is diverse, ranging from natural landscapes and urban life to community activities and portraits. Many submissions, even those taken with phones, capture genuine emotions and creative perspectives.

This year's National Day celebrations have been a significant source of inspiration. The streets were filled with national flags, parades, and artistic performances, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Many localities also organized festivals and community events, contributing to preserving historical memories during the 80th National Day anniversary.

All eligible submissions will be compiled, categorized, and sent to the judging panel. The results are expected to be announced in September. The judges include: diva Hong Nhung, content creator Khoai Lang Thang, and Associate Professor Dr. Lam Minh Chau, senior lecturer at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

Vietnam Vibes by Vietravel is a community platform open to everyone, regardless of age or equipment. With a phone, camera, and keen observation, anyone can share their stories about Vietnam through their personal lens.

On the contest's Inspiration page, soccer player Doan Van Hau shared a photo with his wife and child wearing national flag-themed clothing in front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. He expressed his hope that the patriotic spirit and gratitude towards national heroes and soldiers would forever burn brightly in every Vietnamese heart.

Soccer player Do Duy Manh submitted a photo of the Vietnamese national soccer team winning the 2024 ASEAN Cup (formerly AFF Cup) in Thailand. This was the first time Vietnam defeated Thailand on their home turf.

"Seeing our national flag flying high in another country brought immense joy. Every time I look back, I feel a surge of pride, knowing we fought hard to make a new mark for Vietnamese soccer," he shared.
