Vietnamese military's parade performance hailed as a resounding success

Deputy Chief of the General Staff Nguyen Van Nghia stated that the Party and State leaders highly commended the military's outstanding performance in the A80 celebrations, creating a widespread positive impact.

On 3/9, the parade subcommittee for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (A80) held a meeting to review the event's success.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, reported that the Ministry of National Defense's parade subcommittee collaborated effectively with various agencies to execute all tasks, from personnel selection and training site surveys to equipment preparation, training, rehearsals, and the final dress rehearsal.

Over four months of training, tens of thousands of officers and soldiers, including many female soldiers and militia members, demonstrated dedication, discipline, and unwavering determination. Their performance in the A80 celebrations showcased the solemnity and strength of the Vietnamese military.

"The Party and State leaders praised this achievement, which left a positive impression on the entire nation, showcasing a heroic, well-trained, elite, and approachable Vietnam People's Army. This created a widespread positive impact among the public and international friends," emphasized Lieutenant General Nghia.

He instructed units to promptly return facilities, weapons, equipment, and vehicles; ensure safe return journeys; stabilize post-event staffing; and implement appropriate commendation, reward, and policy systems for participating personnel.

On the morning of 2/9, Vietnam held the A80 celebration at Ba Dinh Square, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. The parade featured a full complement of forces, including ground troops, mechanized units, air, and naval forces. Over 16,300 personnel participated, comprising 43 marching blocks, 18 stationary blocks, and 14 blocks of military artillery and special forces vehicles from the army and police.

The army deployed a large fleet of military aircraft for the flyover, including CASA 295, CASA 212i, Yak-130, L-39NG transport aircraft, and Su-30MK2 fighter jets. For the first time, Vietnam's naval parade included submarines, the Tran Hung Dao missile frigate, DHC-6 seaplanes, Ka-28 anti-submarine helicopters, multi-purpose rescue vessels, and naval support ships, along with SPA-4207 patrol boats from the Border Guard, DN-2000 from the Fisheries Resources Surveillance, and vessels from the Coast Guard.
