Wall collapse at driving test center kills one

A brick wall at the Nam Cao Nguyen Driving Training and Test Center in Cu Jut commune, formerly Dak Nong, unexpectedly collapsed while students were resting in hammocks, resulting in one fatality.

On the morning of 16/12, a group of students waiting for their driving test hung hammocks on a brick wall, about one meter high, in the canteen area of the Nam Cao Nguyen center. Suddenly, the wall collapsed, and bricks and concrete fell, hitting two people.

Bystanders quickly transported the victims for emergency treatment. However, Dang Van Kien, 49 years old, succumbed to his injuries. The other person sustained minor injuries.

The Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police organized the driving test at the Nam Cao Nguyen Driving Training and Test Center for students from the Dak Nong Vocational Education Center and the Cao Nguyen Vocational Education Center on 15-16/12. The incident occurred on the second day of testing.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
