Woman returns 25 million VND after accidental transfer

Discovering 25 million VND transferred from an unknown account, 37-year-old Van Thi Hien contacted the local police and was guided to return the funds.

On 23/9, Son Tinh Commune Police, in coordination with Vietcombank Quang Ngai, verified and guided Hien (from Ha Nhai Bac village) to return the money to Nguyen Ngoc Phuong Thao, 48, from Ho Chi Minh City.

Thao explained that on 8/9, while making a purchase, she mistakenly transferred the funds to the wrong account. "I was very worried because the amount was substantial, and I didn't know the recipient. I contacted my bank to try and locate them," she said, adding that she wrote a thank you letter to Hien and the police.
