The accident caused the motorcycle and the two young men to fall. One of them lost consciousness and lay within the railway safety zone. The crossing guard and bystanders immediately moved the victim and the motorcycle off the tracks and cleared the broken barrier.

Another employee used a signal lamp to alert the approaching train, then allowed it to pass once the area was clear, preventing the need for an emergency stop.

Dau Giay commune police and the Saigon Railway Operation Branch attended the scene. The accident resulted in injuries to the motorcycle passenger and significant damage to the barrier.

Two days earlier, a similar incident occurred in Long Khanh ward when another young man crashed through the barrier just as a train was approaching. Thanks to the quick thinking of the crossing guard, the victim was pulled to safety and the train was signaled to stop, averting a more serious collision.
