Bayern's dominant 4-0 win against Union Berlin on the evening of 21/3 capped off an impressive attacking month for the Bavarian giants. This victory extended their goal-scoring streak to 19 goals in five consecutive matches across all competitions, marking their best offensive performance over such a period this season.
Before this match, Coach Vincent Kompany's team had already scored 15 goals in four previous games this month. In the Bundesliga, they secured a 4-1 win against Moenchengladbach and a 1-1 draw with Leverkusen. In the Champions League round of 16, Bayern overwhelmed Atalanta with convincing 6-1 and 4-1 victories.
Union Berlin, who managed a surprising 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture late last year, could only hold out for most of the first half before their defense collapsed like a sandcastle. In the 43rd minute, Michael Olise opened the scoring floodgates with a shot from 15 meters into the far-left corner. Three minutes later, Serge Gnabry doubled the lead with a close-range volley from a Joshua Kimmich cross.

Union Berlin focused almost entirely on defense, but their efforts proved futile under Bayern's relentless pressure.
Four minutes into the second half, Harry Kane curled a shot from 16 meters into the far corner, extending the lead to 3-0. In the 67th minute, Gnabry sealed an early victory, volleying from 18 meters into the bottom corner.
Bayern has now scored 97 goals in 27 Bundesliga matches during the 2025-2026 season. They require just four more goals in their remaining seven matches to equal a seasonal record.
The win against Union Berlin also moved Bayern closer to defending their championship title. They currently lead the league with 70 points, holding a 12-point advantage over second-placed Dortmund (from 26 matches).
Following round 27, the Bundesliga will take a two-week break for international fixtures. Bayern will return with an away match at Freiburg on 4/4, three days before they host Real in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals.
