In 2018, under coach Chu Dinh Nghiem, Hanoi FC was considered one of the strongest clubs in Vietnamese football history. The capital team secured the V-League title five rounds early, simultaneously breaking several other records in a single season: most wins (20 matches), fewest losses (2), most points (64), most goals scored (72), and the highest goal difference (+42).
Eight years later, these records are at risk of being broken. After 23 rounds, CAHN has 60 points with 19 wins. Their only loss was a 1-2 defeat to Hanoi FC in round 14. Additionally, the team has scored 55 goals and currently holds a goal difference of +36.
CAHN clinched the V-League 2025-2026 title early after defeating Thanh Hoa 2-0 on 17/5. They still have three matches remaining to improve their performance, facing Ha Tinh (away), Becamex TP HCM (home), and The Cong (away). Except for second-placed The Cong, the other two opponents are considered much weaker than coach Mano Polking's in-form squad.
Among the 5 records, the number of goals scored is the most challenging for CAHN, as they need to score 17 more goals, averaging about 5,67 goals in each remaining match. This V-League season, CAHN only scored 5 goals in one match, a 5-1 victory over Da Nang in round 17.

Hanoi also holds a record of an 18-point difference with the second-placed team, also set in the 2018 season. This statistic is difficult to break as CAHN is currently 11 points ahead of The Cong and needs their opponents to not win their three remaining matches, including at least two losses.
If they win all three matches, CAHN will also achieve an 8-match winning streak in a season, matching Long An in 2005 and SLNA in 2018.
CAHN's success this season reflects coach Polking's attacking philosophy, built on a foundation of quality players and one of the league's deepest squads. Polking also became the first Brazilian coach and the 4th foreign coach to win the Vietnamese national championship, following: Thai coach Arjhan Srong-ngamsub of HAGL (champions in 2003, 2004), Henrique Calisto of Long An (Portugal, 2006), and Chun Jae-ho of Hanoi FC (2022).
Midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai also reached 6 V-League titles, matching Tran Van Kien and Pham Duc Huy. All three won four titles with Hanoi in 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022. Quang Hai's other two titles were with CAHN (2023, 2025-2026), while Kien and Huy's were with Nam Dinh (2023-2024, 2024-2025). Quang Hai left Hanoi FC midway through the 2022 season, and Duc Huy left midway through the 2024-2025 season, but both are still counted as championship members.
