Coach Kim Sang-sik holds press conference after ASEAN Cup win against Cambodia

Coach Kim Sang-sik offered his assessment after Vietnam defeated Cambodia 3-1 in the final match of Group A of the ASEAN Cup 2026, held at My Dinh Stadium on the evening of 7/8.

The victory secured Vietnam's top spot in Group A with 10 points, advancing them to the semi-finals where they will face the second-place team from Group B. The first leg will be an away match on 16/8, with the return leg three days later at My Dinh Stadium.

This marks the seventh consecutive time Vietnam has reached the semi-finals of the Southeast Asian tournament. In their previous six appearances, Vietnam reached the final three times, clinching the championship in 2018 and 2024, and finishing as runners-up in 2022.
