Daikin is partnering with the ASEAN Hyundai Cup 2026, a tournament where the Vietnam national team is the defending champion, to launch its "Breathe the Win" campaign. The event, held from 24/7 to 26/8, marks the 30th anniversary of the Southeast Asian football championship, bringing together 10 national teams in group stages and knockout rounds to crown a regional champion.
Vietnam enters the tournament as the defending champion, having secured their third Southeast Asian title two years prior by defeating Thailand in the final. This year's campaign is set to capture significant domestic fan interest. Indonesia's coach John Herdman recognized Vietnam as a strong contender due to their consistent squad, organization, and tactical discipline. This was evident in their group stage performance, with coach Kim Sang-sik's team achieving a 3-0 victory over Indonesia, a 7-0 win against Timor Leste, and a 0-0 draw with Singapore.

"Breathe the Win" symbolizes the link between sports and daily life through the image of breath. On the field, maintaining physical condition and rhythm is crucial for players. In the stands, moments of scoring or victory generate shared emotions among thousands of fans.
Mr. Tsutomu Kurihara, President of Daikin, emphasized football's ability to connect people and inspire younger generations. "Through this partnership, we hope to contribute to building a healthier and more connected future for communities across the region," he stated. The President of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF), Khiev Sameth, also expressed hope that Daikin's involvement would enhance the tournament experience and bring the positive values of sports closer to the regional fan community.

Beyond the vibrant stadium atmosphere, Daikin extends the "Breathe the Win" spirit into living spaces. Its ecosystem of smart air solutions enhances the home cheering experience. The Air Creator, for example, allows personalized temperature, humidity, and aroma through Air Card modes, crafting an atmosphere suited to various activities and moods.
The company's FTKM air conditioner series includes Humi Comfort Plus, offering three humidity levels: 45%, 55%, and 65%. Additional features like Comfort Sleep adjust the sleeping environment, while GPS Interlock connects to the Daikin Air Select application for device management. A brand representative explained that integrating these solutions into the campaign aims to extend the "Breathe the Win" message from sports events to daily life.
The ASEAN Hyundai Cup 2026 marks another season in the ongoing collaboration between Daikin and Southeast Asian football. Through these activities, the Japanese brand aims to engage fan communities across many countries in the region.
