The race, held for the first time in Vung Tau on the morning of 30/8, attracted over 7,000 athletes. Participants across three distances started simultaneously on Quang Trung street.
The 21 km and 10 km routes led runners along Ha Long street, passing Bai Truoc beach and the base of Nui Nho mountain before reaching Thuy Van street. The 5 km race followed Tran Phu street, turning back to pass Bach Dinh, a European-style architectural landmark on the slopes of Nui Lon mountain.

The 21 km race began earliest at 3:30. Organizers set this start time for athletes to experience the coastal city's transformation from predawn to sunrise.
From 5h, as runners advanced toward Ha Long street, the landscape opened up to reveal the sea on one side and Nui Nho mountain on the other.

Runners passed the Vung Tau Lighthouse, a popular check-in spot for young people.
The Statue of Christ the King on Nui Nho mountain stood out on the mountainside. This 32 m tall landmark, with an arm span of 18,3 m, is one of Vung Tau's iconic symbols.

At Mui Nghinh Phong, the day's first rays illuminated the land strip extending into the sea. This landmark is situated south of Nui Nho mountain, flanked by the sea and backed by the mountain.

Tam Thang Tower became a prominent landmark along the route. Located near Bai Sau beach, the structure, inspired by three waves, was operational from 8/2025.

Around 6h, a rainbow unexpectedly appeared above the runners along the route. Visible from Tam Thang Tower towards the southwest, the vibrant rainbow inspired athletes on their journey.

The new day's light revealed the arc of Vung Tau's coastline, along with distant mountain ranges, coastal roads, and structures.
By 6h, Vung Tau revealed its layered landscape: the sea, mountains, rows of trees, residential areas, and familiar landmarks.
