Nguyen Quang Hai named best player in V-League 2025-2026

Cong An Ha Noi FC swept all individual V-League 2025-2026 awards, with midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai earning the best player title.

Nguyen Quang Hai, the team captain, led them to the championship, matching Ha Noi FC's 2018 league record for wins (20) and points (64). He recorded 10 assists in 24 matches, just one fewer than teammate Leo Artur.

In goal contributions for the club, Nguyen Quang Hai ranked 9th with 13 goals. Leo Artur led the list with 10 goals and 11 assists. Following him were Do Hoang Hen (11 goals, 9 assists), Alan Sebastiao (16 goals, 3 assists), Lucao (11 goals, 6 assists), Nguyen Dinh Bac (10 goals, 5 assists), Fred Friday, Geovane Magno (9 goals, 6 assists), and Daniel Passira (8 goals, 6 assists).

This marks Nguyen Quang Hai's second time receiving this honor, his first being in 2019 while playing for Ha Noi FC. He now shares this achievement with Jose Almeida (2007, 2008) and Nguyen Anh Duc (2014, 2015). He is only one award shy of Le Cong Vinh (2006, 2007, 2008) and Nguyen Van Quyet (2018, 2020, 2022).

CAHN also dominated the V-League individual awards. Mano Polking was named best coach, Alan Sebastiao secured the top scorer title with 16 goals, and Doan Van Hau received the best goal award. This is Alan's second consecutive year winning this title, putting him two awards short of the record held by naturalized Argentine striker Do Merlo.

Nguyen Dinh Bac was recognized as the best young player, having consistently shone in the second half of the season with a streak of 10 goals in six consecutive matches. Tran Minh Vuong (2013, 2014) and Nguyen Quang Hai (2017, 2018) are the two other players who have received this award twice.

CAHN also secured five spots in the typical team of the season, including goalkeeper Nguyen Filip, defender Cao Pendant Quang Vinh, midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai, and forwards Alan and Dinh Bac. Runner-up The Cong contributed Kyle Colonna and Lucao. Third-place Ninh Binh featured Nguyen Hoang Duc. Fourth-place Ha Noi FC had Pham Xuan Manh and Do Hoang Hen. Surprisingly, seventh-place Hai Phong also saw Nguyen Nhat Minh included.

Since the introduction of this award in 2013, this marks Nguyen Quang Hai's sixth appearance in the typical team of the season, following selections in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2024-2025. He is now just one selection short of Nguyen Van Quyet's record.
