Spain arrives at the World Cup in formidable form, holding the Euro 2024 title and a high FIFA ranking. Luis de la Fuente's team boasts an impressive 31-match unbeaten streak in official games, securing 25 victories since their defeat to Scotland in 3/2023. Their dominance was evident in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, where they led their group with five wins from six matches and recorded the highest average shots on target (9,7) among all finalists.

Key Spanish players are entering the tournament in excellent individual form. Forward Mikel Oyarzabal, who scored the decisive goal in the Euro 2024 final against England, has maintained strong form with three goals in four friendly matches in 2026. Alongside him, Pedri, Ferran Torres, and Victor Munoz have also made their mark ahead of the tournament.
