The national team is staying at the Harris Hotel & Convention Cibinong City Mall Bogor to prepare for today's match against host Indonesia. The hotel is located on a main, bustling road in Bogor city, just 1,5 km from Pakansari Stadium.
Around 1h45 this morning, VnExpress reported that low-altitude fireworks were unexpectedly launched in front of the hotel. The lights and explosions affected hotel rooms, including those on the 3rd, 5th, and 10th floors where the Vietnamese players are staying. The fireworks display lasted for one minute and was accompanied by some car horn sounds.
It is currently unknown who was responsible for the fireworks display or whether the Vietnamese players were disturbed from their sleep by the noise.

In 2024, Indonesian fans previously launched fireworks at the Vietnam national team's hotel around 4h in the morning. At that time, the players were staying at the Le Meridien Jakarta hotel, preparing for the first leg of the World Cup 2026 second qualifying round.
That incident sparked controversy, with many Indonesian fans expressing disapproval of their compatriots' actions. They considered disrupting the visiting team's sleep to be unsportsmanlike.
Vietnam will play a crucial match against host Indonesia today. Currently ranking third in Group A with 4 points, two points behind Indonesia and three points behind Singapore, coach Kim Sang-sik's team needs at least a scoring draw to maintain their hopes.
