VinFast electric vehicles lead VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio

Centering on green and environmentally friendly principles, VM Green Paradise Can Gio uses VinFast electric vehicles to lead runners along the ecological route on 1/5.

In the early morning of 1/5, a VinFast VF 8 electric vehicle and its driver were at the starting line of the VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio, located on Dai Lo Thoi Dai in the Vinhomes Green Paradise's Vinh Tien area. The vehicle led the 42 km race starting at 4 AM, then accompanied the 21 km runners at 5 AM, the 10 km runners at 6 AM, and the 5 km runners at 6:15 AM.

The use of electric vehicles aligns with the marathon's goal of promoting a green lifestyle. Along the route through the ecological urban area, with its wide roads and characteristic mangrove forests, the sight of electric vehicles leading the race reinforces the message of a modern, dynamic, and environmentally friendly sporting event.

"Lead vehicles must operate stably, smoothly, and minimize impact on athletes," a representative of the organizing committee stated. "In an endurance sport, runners breathe deeply and continuously throughout the race, so reducing noise and emissions on the course is a priority."

Fulfilling this role, the VF 8 aligns with the green ethos of the marathon. This electric D-SUV measures 4,750 mm in length, has a 2,950 mm wheelbase, and offers a range of over 562 km per charge. Its smooth operation, zero direct emissions, and reduced noise make it ideal for an outdoor competition setting, where runner experience and environmental factors are paramount.

In addition to the lead vehicle, VinFast showcased various oto models at the event area. These included popular models like the VF 3, VF 6, and VF 7, the premium VF 9, the VF MPV 7 family vehicle, and the EV Van cargo model. The presence of these electric vehicles enhanced the experience for runners, their families, and visitors during the sports festival in Can Gio.

The VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio took place on 1/5, drawing over 5,000 runners across four distances: 5, 10, 21, and 42 km. The event aims to integrate sports, tourism, and nature experiences, while promoting a green lifestyle in the coastal ecological urban area south of TP HCM.
