This year, the event is officially named VnExpress Da Nang International Marathon Herbalife Cup 2026, with Herbalife serving as the main sponsor. The organizing committee announced an expanded scale, aiming to attract foreign athletes, particularly from East Asia, Europe, and Africa, to compete and enjoy summer sports tourism in the coastal city.
In the long term, VnExpress Marathon and Herbalife expect Da Nang to become a familiar destination for the international running community.
The enhanced standards will bring adjustments to the race course, safety measures, and prize structure. Further updates will be announced soon.

After two seasons, the VnExpress Marathon Da Nang has established its unique identity. The most recent season attracted 11,000 athletes, including 300 foreigners. Most participants found the riverside and coastal routes impressive, allowing them to experience the beauty of Central Vietnam's largest city. Additionally, many described crossing Thuan Phuoc Bridge as "challenging yet captivating," offering panoramic views of the river, sea, mountains, and city from above.
Last year, Huynh Anh Khoi and Dan Quyet surpassed strong Japanese competitors to secure the top two positions in the 42 km race. Vong Vanh Long beat Edwin Kiptoo, a renowned African runner in Vietnam, to win the 21 km championship.
