Resolution 80 identifies video games as a key area for development within the cultural industry. It aims to build a cultural startup ecosystem, boost the export of products embodying Vietnamese identity, and establish the cultural industry as a driver for socio-economic growth.
Following this directive, products like Audition have spearheaded the integration of Vietnamese cultural elements, such as the ao dai (traditional Vietnamese long dress) and the lotus flower, into the game.
Each year, VTC researches, designs, and introduces 10,000 in-game items into Audition, all inspired by Vietnamese cultural identity and fashion. According to the publisher's representative, after nearly 20 years in the Vietnamese gaming market, 100% of player accounts own at least one item reflecting Vietnamese culture. Audition also features a dance floor designed in the shape of a Vietnamese lotus pond.
VTC has showcased the in-game lotus dance floor from Audition at various exhibitions nationwide. From the A80 Exhibition to the Autumn Fair and the Cultural Industry Achievements Exhibition, this iconic in-game image has been presented to a wide range of visitors. These actions demonstrate how the publisher transforms a digital entertainment product into a vehicle for telling Vietnamese cultural stories through technology and in-game entertainment spaces.
During the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, Vietnamese Audition athletes wore ao dai and yem (traditional Vietnamese bodice) while competing, radiating cultural identity to millions of viewers across Southeast Asia who followed the tournament.

A VTC representative noted that Vietnam's gaming industry is on the cusp of unprecedented breakthroughs. Beyond just entertainment, games are now expected to become "cultural ambassadors" on the international stage, helping Vietnamese identity conquer the global market.
At Vietnam Gameverse 2026, the industry's largest event organized by the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with VnExpress newspaper, the Audition game will continue to tell Vietnamese cultural stories through technology. This highlights the role of a 20-year-old game in bringing new positive values to the community.
