The Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that the Da Nang Food Tour 2026 festival will take place from 20 to 24/5. This year's event features an expanded scale, with over 200 stalls and 70 street food vendors, alongside a year-long series of discovery journeys instead of focusing solely on the main festival days.
The event will commence with the "Ganh Vi Da Nang" parade on the afternoon of 20/5, along the Pham Van Dong beach road. Following this, the opening ceremony on the evening of 21/5 at East Sea Park will combine light displays and dance to narrate the evolution of traditional cuisine into modern life.
In the "Culinary Quintessence of Quang Region" area, visitors can enjoy local specialties and OCOP products from over 200 stalls. The festival offers locals and tourists a convenient opportunity to experience a diverse range of dishes at a single location. Beyond tasting, visitors can participate in hands-on activities, learning to make traditional cakes, preparing seafood, and engaging in folk games with local artisans. This initiative aims to connect visitors more closely with local culture through direct experiences.

For entertainment, the Beer Fest Night on the evening of 23/5 will offer over 5,000 food and beer combos at special prices. The grand music night, concluding the festival on the evening of 24/5, will feature artists Noo Phuoc Thinh, Karik, DJ Mie, and Orange.
This year, the festival features strong regional connections, expanding its reach southward with the "Taste of the Sea" festival at Tam Thanh beach (Quang Phu ward) and the "Hoi An Dong Folk Cake" festival in Cam Chau ward (formerly). This collaboration aims to create a comprehensive culinary tourism ecosystem across the Quang Nam - Da Nang region.

The city will implement the Danang Food Tours series throughout the year. Detailed itineraries to Hoi An, Dien Ban, Tam Ky, and Dai Loc are designed to suggest long-term plans, helping visitors explore local culture more deeply.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee, stated that the festival is not just an annual event but also an experiential journey expressed through emotion and creativity.
During the two holidays of Ancestors' Commemoration Day and 30/4-1/5, statistics from the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector show that the city welcomed 1.46 million visitors, generating 5,700 billion VND in revenue. Compared to the same period in 2025, both visitor numbers and revenue increased by nearly 35%. On average, each visitor is estimated to have spent nearly 4 million VND on their trip to Da Nang during this period, highlighting the effectiveness of the large-scale tourism products and festivals.
