Lang Lo village, located in Hoa Hiep ward, Dak Lak province, spans over 182 hectares and has a population of 10,637 people.
The name "Lang Lo" (Kiln Village) originates from the traditional seafood steaming and drying trade that thrived decades ago. Before modern preservation systems, fishermen built brick kilns to steam and dry fish after long sea voyages. These kilns were not only tools for livelihood but also became historical markers, preserved in the village's name to this day.

Once a fishing village reliant on catches, Lang Lo is gradually transforming through community-based tourism. New homestays are increasingly appearing, interspersed among traditional tiled-roof houses and modern architectural structures.
According to local tourism authorities, the village currently has 72 accommodation establishments with 459 rooms. Compared to 2024, when the new guest reception model was in its trial phase, the number of homestays has increased significantly, reflecting the destination's growth.

The rhythm of life in the village begins very early. Each morning, fishing boats moored along the coast (pictured) return to shore after a night of fishing, bringing the characteristic bustling atmosphere of a fishing village. Waking up early to visit the port, watch the fishing boats arrive, and explore the seafood market are recommended experiences for visitors to Lang Lo. Photo: Le Minh Hoang

Many tourists appreciate Lang Lo for its clear blue water and reddish-yellow sand beach. Local residents say that the large-grained volcanic sand creates a distinct feature compared to many other coastal destinations in Dak Lak.
