Cat Ba's Guinness world record show offers 40% ticket discount

The "Symphony of the Blue Island" show, a combination of extreme sports and fireworks, is offering a 40% discount from 22/6 to 10/7.

Specifically, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, individual tickets are reduced from 1 million VND to 600,000 VND. If booked through the Sun Paradise Land app, the price drops further to 450,000 VND. On peak days, Fridays and Saturdays, the regular price of 1.2 million VND is discounted to 1 million VND, or 550,000 VND via the app.

Organizers describe the discount as a "summer exclusive" for those wanting to experience a unique show in Vietnam. The 30-minute "Symphony of the Blue Island" provides a visually stunning spectacle, featuring extreme jetski, flyboard, and jetsurf performances alongside a fireworks display with hundreds of special effects.

In May, the show achieved two Guinness World Records: "Largest Jetskis formation launching firework" and "Most backflips on a flyboard in one minute."

Launched in late May, the "Symphony of the Blue Island" has quickly become a popular evening attraction for locals and tourists in Cat Ba. Mai Thanh Huong, a visitor from Hanoi, initially curious about the extreme sports performance, booked tickets for her family. "Sitting in the stands, enjoying every minute of the artists' performance, I realized this was a visually satisfying experience," she said.

Vu Hoang Nam, a visitor from Hai Phong, said it felt like watching a show in Dubai or Singapore, but with even more vibrant fireworks.

François Lefevre, a tourist from Lyon, France, expressed his surprise: "I didn't think Vietnam could organize such a large-scale outdoor show. It felt very similar to Cinescenie in France, but more unique and exciting thanks to the music and extreme sports."

According to the organizers, since the show's debut, Cat Ba's central square area has welcomed thousands of people every evening. On 19/6, 7,000 visitors flocked to the central bay, a summer record so far.

Ngoc Thoa, the owner of a small eatery near the central square, has noticed a significant change. She explained that previously, visitors to Cat Ba mainly joined tours and left early. Since the arrival of the square with its show, night market, and new restaurants, people are staying later, even overnight. "My restaurant's sales have doubled as a result, and sometimes there are no seats left on weekends," she said.
