Thai media reported on 7/8 about an accident involving two Chinese tourists, a father and daughter, on Koh Lan island, Pattaya, Chonburi province, on 6/8.
The father and daughter had rented a motorcycle to visit a viewpoint on the island. While navigating a downhill section, the vehicle lost control and plunged off a cliff. The father died at the scene, and his daughter sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The Chinese Embassy in Thailand confirmed it has contacted the police and hospital, requesting active treatment for the injured person. The embassy will also assist the family with funeral arrangements. Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
Koh Lan, also known as Koh Larn, is an island located off the coast of Pattaya, Chonburi province, approximately 7-10 km from the city. Covering about 4 square km, the island is known for its clear water, white sand beaches, and numerous viewpoints across its hilly terrain, drawing many tourists visiting Pattaya.
