Coastal city icons dot the VnExpress Vung Tau Herbalife Cup marathon route

The VnExpress Vung Tau International Half Marathon Herbalife Cup 2026 route guides runners past Bai Truoc, Bai Sau, Mui Nghinh Phong, the Christ of Vung Tau statue, Bach Dinh, and Tam Thang Tower.

Vung Tau is set to host the VnExpress Vung Tau International Half Marathon Herbalife Cup 2026 on 30/8, offering runners an immersive journey through the city's most iconic coastal landmarks.

Bai Truoc will serve as both the start and finish area for all distances. Runners will commence their race on Quang Trung street, opposite Tam Giac Park, before following the city's scenic coastal roads.

The 21 km distance, starting first at 3:30 a.m., will lead athletes from Quang Trung street towards Ha Long street. The route continues along Thuy Van street, which runs parallel to Bai Sau, then passes Nguyen An Ninh street and 3 Thang 2 street before looping back to the finish line.

The 10 km race begins at 3:45 a.m., 15 minutes after the 21 km group. Runners will follow Quang Trung street through Ha Long street, reaching Thuy Van street before turning back towards the finish.

Ha Long street, which hugs Bai Truoc and the base of Nui Nho, is a characteristic scenic section of Vung Tau. Both the 10 km and 21 km routes traverse this picturesque stretch.

Mui Nghinh Phong, known locally as Vung Tau's "heaven's gate", juts into the sea on the city's south side, creating a prominent natural highlight along Ha Long street.

The Christ of Vung Tau statue, perched on Nui Nho, is a well-known symbol of the city, standing tall against the backdrop of the sea and mountains. This impressive structure measures 32 m in height with an 18,3 m arm span.

Bai Sau, an expansive coastal area, stretches along Thuy Van street and is featured on both the 10 km and 21 km courses. This location will also host the race expo and race kit distribution for the event.

Tam Thang Tower is centrally located, directly opposite Thuy Van Square and near the expo site. This landmark is a key element in the design of the VnExpress Marathon Vung Tau 2026 medal.

The 5 km distance has the latest start time at 5:00 a.m. These runners will depart from Quang Trung street, head towards Tran Phu street, and then return to the finish. The maximum completion time for this race is 1 hour 15 minutes, with the road closing at 6:15 a.m.

During their run, 5 km participants will pass Bach Dinh, a European architectural work situated on the slopes of Nui Lon with views of the sea. This site represents a significant historical landmark of Vung Tau.

Connecting coastal routes with iconic structures, the VnExpress Vung Tau International Half Marathon Herbalife Cup 2026 allows runners to experience Vung Tau's diverse character during their journey on 30/8.
