Cobra appears in hotel bedroom

Two tourists at a Krabi, Thailand hotel panicked and fled after discovering a 1.5-meter cobra crawling near their heads in the bedroom.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:00 on 28/3 when one of two guests at a Krabi, Thailand hotel suddenly awoke in a panic. They immediately ran out of the room, screaming that a snake was on the bed, right near their head. Initially, the other guest, still asleep, dismissed it as a nightmare or something spiritual.

However, the situation quickly escalated as the frantic cries became clearer: "There's a snake! A cobra is crawling across my neck". Upon checking the area around the bed, they were stunned to find a large cobra in the room, hissing menacingly.

A snake catcher was promptly called to the scene. In a video that later went viral, the professional is seen inspecting the room before locating the snake hidden behind and under the bed. The animal, approximately 1.5 meters long, appeared aggressive and defensive when approached.

After being posted on social media, the video quickly garnered hundreds of thousands of views and comments. Many viewers expressed horror, calling it "a traveler's nightmare". Some shared that they "wouldn't be able to sleep" if they found themselves in a similar situation.

Many also reminded travelers to thoroughly check their rooms, especially in accommodations located near forests or natural areas. Other comments praised the snake catcher's calm demeanor, stating that calling an expert was the right decision in such a dangerous situation.

Numerous incidents involving snakes appearing in accommodations have previously terrified tourists in tropical destinations. In 2023, a guest in Bali, Indonesia, discovered a python hidden in a resort bathroom. Before that, a family in Phuket, Thailand, was startled to find a snake crawling into their hotel room at night.
