The route operates with a frequency of five flights each week, marking the initial step in the airline's "Rise to Asia" (vuon ra chau A) network development strategy. This new direct route is expected to enhance air connectivity and promote trade and tourism between the two destinations.
According to 2025 data, the Taiwan market accounted for approximately 1,2 million visitors to Vietnam, placing it among the largest source markets. However, the number of visitors to Phu Quoc has not matched its potential due to limited direct connections. The new route shortens travel time, increases flight frequency, and improves access to Phu Quoc island. The airline plans to open an additional route to Kaohsiung to expand its network in this market.

To capitalize on market potential, the airline aims to launch nine routes connecting Phu Quoc with major Asian hubs such as Seoul, Busan, Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong (China), Kuala Lumpur, New Delhi, and Mumbai.
Amidst a volatile aviation market, the airline has adopted a selective development strategy, focusing on markets with genuine demand and high growth potential, aligning with Phu Quoc's resort tourism development orientation. This approach ensures operational efficiency and creates a stable foundation for travel partners.

Passengers on the airline's flights also connect with Sun Group's tourism ecosystem in Phu Quoc, receiving benefits for accommodation, dining, and entertainment services, aiming for a seamless experience from air travel to the destination.
From an infrastructure perspective, Sun Group's involvement in managing and operating Phu Quoc International Airport, coupled with its partnership with Changi Airports International to operate under five-star standards, is expected to enhance international passenger handling capacity and shape the "destination airport" model in Vietnam.
