The incident occurred on 14/7 at a Tasty Dot restaurant in Rostov. Video footage captured the moment the employee spat on the burger patty.
The employee, identified as Nikita, was preparing two burgers. After checking to ensure no one was watching, he leaned over and spat on the patty, using a spatula to spread the saliva across it. He then covered the meat with a slice of cheese, seemingly to conceal his actions, before boxing the burger and passing it through the service window.
This unsanitary act followed an argument between Nikita and the customer during the order process. Suspicious of the employee's behavior, the customer discreetly filmed the food preparation.
The incident sparked outrage on Russian social media, with many condemning Nikita's actions and raising concerns about hygiene standards at the fast-food chain.
After the video went viral, Nikita offered an explanation, claiming, "They were yelling, cursing, and demanding I hurry up. Then they threatened to get out of their car and hit me."
Tasty Dot subsequently announced Nikita's dismissal, stating his behavior "completely contradicted the company's core values".
